stoaty 171 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Share Posted February 23, 2007 (edited) Hi guys Always fancied the working strain of bedlingtons ever since I had the John Glover book quite a few years ago.I love the lakeland cross types and seen a few on here of the strain I like ( aluns and swansea jacks etc).Just wondering how good are these on scent and bushing in general quite fancy the idea of 1 with the bull cross and the whippet??a few pics would be nice never tire of them all the best Stoaty Edited February 23, 2007 by stoaty Quote Link to post
TOPPER 1,809 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Share Posted February 23, 2007 my bedlingtons have always had one hell of anose on them , my bedlington/lakeland pup looks to be on the same track at 4 months he s scenting everything self enterd whilst out for awalk a couple of weeks ago i manged to grab his tail before he disapeared and pulled him out but he was mad to get back in the hole . there s pic of him on the workin bedlington thread mad chocolate mutt Quote Link to post

david2363 42 Posted February 24, 2007 Report Share Posted February 24, 2007 I agree that they have great noses on them, (never seen a proper one who hasn't) My 8 month pup never fails to amaze me, rats,rabbits, pheasants,deer, - he always seems to know when they are in his vicinity. Went for a mooch this morning, he marked a stoat/weasel under a tree in the roots (it bolted after a bit of digging.) Then I found him standing stock still,one foot up in the air like a mini pointer, staring at a dry stone wall,after a bit of moving stones and fishing around inside I pulled ot a large rabbit which he's having for his tea tonight.
