yeah do you not think you can over check your local spots lads ?

me personaly yes i try and leave at least 2/3 weeks but ive been to holes the next day and theve been in, especially when ive had a call out and i have to find the culprit.

I think your missing the point with the lurcher mate, they find more earths for you and you can leave them running free, you can't do that with a terrier they'd be up shit creek in no time, plus the l

your doing nothing wrong just increase the amount ur checking, 1 weekend last year we checked almost a 100 holes looking for a fox before we got 1 and worse still it bolted and the lurcher and gun were still in the car :wallbash: fs :icon_redface: shit happens lol (i can laugh now)

Yes mate you could be. And worse than that for all you know someone else could be trying them also! Its shit and I know how you feel. If you can try n get out with mates that do a fair bit and let them take you to spots, give your local holes a bit of a rest then come chrismas times when the weather is right get out n try them then, you`ll end up flat out mate if you have enough local places to do.

Cold hard rain is the best at putting foxes to ground, how many times do you see foxes traveling about in the snow "lots".. , checking earths to much..yes I'd say you could but I've also sent a lad to a drain that i checked the day before to put him off going to the earths i wanted to get to first lol, he had two and i had one.... . Keep checking, the more the merrier and after 28 years with terriers I'de say theres no set rules to finding a fox toground.
