Theres two types mate Viral meningitis Bacterial meningitis viral your sent home after a few days and told to deal with it with pain killers bacterial has to be treated with antibiotics The sooner effective treatment is given, the more likely a person is to make a full recovery. Dont worry about the lumber puncture, not as scarey as it sounds ok Hygiene is the best way to prevent any further contamination. Get the place nice and clean, clean benches, dishes, wash towels, bedding etc. NO kissing, cough and sneeze into handkerchiefs, that kind of thing.
