k9delboy 138
I have just aquired a set of XDoptics 10-40x60SFE scopes and as im new to shooting i want to know are these good for my .22 BRNO rimfire. I only got my rifle a month ago. Im used to lamping with lurchers and digging with terriers but due to bad health im getting into lamping coneys for a wee bit exercise. These scopes have illuminated reticule. What does this mean ?. Sorry for sounding to be a div but when i was younger my air rifle scopes had an adjuster either side and that was it. Are these scopes any use for my lamping trips. Is their any sites or utube places where i can see a diagram or a video on how to use and set these up. Any help would be appreciated, Del. Any help would be appreciated, Del. just a simple 3-9x40 would be ok on it mate, they worked ok for me and i had loads of fun with my .22, the illuminated recticule means that just as its going dark you can turn it on and focus on your prey for that much longer as you can see your cross hairs longer, because without the illumination you lose your cross hairs in the darkness so when illuminated gives you that little bit longer.hope that didnt seem confusing but you dont need a big complicated scope for what your doing mate but if you have it then use it. good luck regards mal Quote Link to post
Rake aboot 4,936
Almost any half descent scope will do for lamping on a 22,, the ill reticule just lights up to make it more visible at night. Just try it and see how you get on with it. Hope yeh feel better soon,, Yeh heading tae Glamis this year we spoke at last years show but I`m working this year so cannae make it. If yeh need any mare info just ask,..but the scope yeh have should do the job Quote Link to post
k9delboy 138
Hopin to go to Glamis this year. Had to cancel my show at Fife hunt kennels as ive not been keeping well but always next year. Thanks for advice on sights. I will try them out this week, Del. P.S. I have attached a pic in the hope that someone can tell me what the buttons are used for AS I DONT KNOW WHAT ir1 or ir2 etc means. If you click on the pic it becomes a lot larger and easier to see.. terriermaniac 12
That's night vision scope I think , the ir stands for infra Red not illuminated recticle, you won't need a lamp with that :-) Quote Link to post
