willum 89 Posted June 15, 2011 Report Share Posted June 15, 2011 Can't go just yet but setting my sights on "The River Wensum", Heard there is some nice Chub and Barbel in there aswel as a good few other species yeah there is a nice spot on the wensum that holds barbel and good size chub with the odd carp in there to a decent size aswell just gota put the time in thats all to get the barbel going have had chub just under 6lbs out of it n only 3 barbel biggest being 11 lbs but a chap a couple of years ago had a 15lb out of the same stretch happy stlaking mate Quote Link to post

Worth it for a couple of small chub and a couple of hours by the river. well, within 12 mins i had a small eel on the bank and another at 5am (ISH).. inbetween that time i had some bream,perch and a small pike.. not the start of the season i had hoped for but its called fishing and not catching Quote Link to post

Jasp the river that runs past and through near the city station good for roach bream and decent pike in winter time or you could go out near lenwade which is out on the fakenham rd coming out of norwich very good for decent size chub a few barbel in there aswell or just of a place on the a47 heading out of city called ringland river splits into 2 have a slow back eddy of water good all year round with the odd trout there aswell . waveny river which devides norfolk suffolk good for 2lb plus roach winter good pike in summer places like hoxne river v good pike in there n wild carp . hope this helps bud atb Quote Link to post
CO CHISE 330 Posted June 18, 2011 Report Share Posted June 18, 2011 couldnt make it thurs but manage afew hours today and im useless, it was very quiet but i had 2 good takes on meat and lost them both of hook, my young was dead baiting and had 3 pike on and he lost them all, all been well ile have another go early next wk if weathers ok, Quote Link to post
