Elmer Fudd 2011 39 Posted June 29, 2011 Report Share Posted June 29, 2011 brian had all those dogs as he could not leave them at home with no one to look after them, while he was judging at the show! the pups look old enough to leave the mum, not alot of space in the van left so the pups look like they were put in with the mother, and a pup of ten wks would still try and suckle! fair play doesnt look good in the picture! ass licker !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!why would you stick up for him cause you have noway of telling how long them dogs was going to be in ther boxes and i thought that they were going on a digg with all them dog make your mind up SHOWING OR WORKING and as for taking the pups anywere they should be inside with mum worm and fed till they go to new home not draged all over the place !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 Quote Link to post
bayer1 2 Posted June 29, 2011 Report Share Posted June 29, 2011 elmer fudd i agree pups should not be draaged all over the place, as i said you dont have to like everything about some one! but due to bn circumstances he could not leave them all at home while he was away judging away in ireland! he does not show his dogs and he does work them! scent, i was not saying how old the pups were but a pup of ten weeks would still try and suckle! as i have said you dont have to like everything about some one but bn deaerves a little more respect Quote Link to post

Grafter83 2 Posted June 29, 2011 Report Share Posted June 29, 2011 He took 20 dogs to ireland with him to the show because him and his wife are old and his wife can't manage 30 terriers on her own he left her to mind 6 dogs in his easy to acsess kennles and took the rest with him people don't realise he's 78 he aint no young man and his yard and kennles are always spottless and he's still hunting all the time with all he's dogs brians a good man and done a lot for the dogs we graft today all over the world and it gets to me how people like sallie who put a add up sayin I have 3 bitch pats to line this season what I have neva worked by the way can start threads witch end up slating the man who she has proberly never met or dug with at least he's breeding dogs that are worked evryseason. Witch is more than most do cum on this guy don't deserve slagging of at 78 years old most of us will have piss bags on and won't be able to dig bogeys out of our noses very bitchy the terrier world spossed to be hairy arse men carrags gem and sallie included. 2 Quote Link to post

Thats interesting, I wouldn't have thought it was possible to provide regular graft for 30 terriers. Even 10 digs a season would be 300, impressive stuff. At the end of the day yes he did good in years gone by, but that is no excuse to hold him on a pedestal now. His actions in recent years have been disgusting to say the least and is an embarrasment to all decent terriermen. 78 years old or not he deserves no respect. If he was genuine he would have kept maybe 1 or 2 decent terriers and been satisfied with that. But no he chooses to run a business selling poorly bred pups from untested parents. king squirrel 53 Posted June 29, 2011 Report Share Posted June 29, 2011 am not taking sides on this one as i dont agree with his breeding practices and i have seen my fair share of nuttall terriers and as people have said there is good n bad in any breeding but now days if you was a young lad getting into the digging and you didnt know any like minded lads who would you go as too i know and other lads know when your digging regulally you stick to them lads and keep that circle of lads pretty tight i admit that i wouldnt like to be starting out as it is hard to find good lads that are on the same wave lenght and have the commitment that you have now days i would be very weary of letting someone come digging with us what i am trying to say now days it is hard for lads to get in with genuine digging lads and get access to decent dogs so where do they go the next best thing nuttall a respected or should i say i thought was a respected man in the digging game atb ks Quote Link to post

wipeout 80 Posted June 29, 2011 Report Share Posted June 29, 2011 just outa pig iron rang his kennells last year wasnt talkin to the man him self but another chap said he was ruinning the kennells with him said he had 3 litters there was tryin to push a pup on me breed outa a 19 mth old bitch said the bitch was goin to be a good one said it would cost about 500 euro for pup and transport over to ireland i asked how much work the bitch had seen to be breed at 17 mths old .. there was a problem with the phone line and it went dead Quote Link to post
foxhunting1 74 Posted June 29, 2011 Report Share Posted June 29, 2011 think you lot want to think before you speak, brian nuttall has forgotten more about terriers than most of you will ever know! five minutes with him would make you look stupid, or change your point of view! brian does not use the internet, probaly a good thing! but he has nothing to prove to anyone! the man is still out working the terriers weekly in the season and still producing the goods when it comes down to terrier work! as for ruining the breed, he has done more for the breed than any one of you knocking the man down, for somewhere in most patterdale blood it will go back to brians yard! you dont have to like everything someone does but the man deserves abit of respect! and brian is no show pony elmer fudd!
