Jingo 6 Posted June 14, 2011 Report Share Posted June 14, 2011 same here used one of them folding army jobs with triangle handle and snapped it just before the screw thread. went to an auction the next day and managed to get a brand new bulldog border spade for £3 and never looked back plus a full length shovel/spade can get more leverage saves ya back if digging for ages or near tree roots.
