Jamie m 668
still haing trouble getting good pictures, these might help. Get yourself beaphar antiparasite spot on for ferrets from the pet shop if it is mites or anything like that they will be gone in a few days my jill had ear mites a treatment with that stuff bright as a button the next weak , male sure you way your ferret to get the right dose Quote Link to post
ferrety f 23
Does he have black/ dark brown wax in his ears ? also if you can get a bit of the black stuff off his head and put it on a wet tissue it will dissolve and go bright red if its dried blood.. Quote Link to post
Jingo 6
sounds like could be ear mites just keep an eye on it and see if its rubbing its head, this would explain the hair loss but then again could be just dirt. as Jamie said though nothing to worry about just get some drops. Joe67 239
i thought he had mites before, there is little bits of wax in his ears.i showed him to next doors mrs who is training to be a vet and she reconned it was ok then,so i never done anything about it.looking close at the hair on his head it does look more like oil.when hes out in the garden he likes to dig and roll/rub against the bark, this is just normal for a ferret though right,or maybe because its itchy?
