Hello just wondering how much off lead exercise you give your dogs each day, i am in a difficult position as i have an 18mth old dog to get into shape and an old 11 yr dog i am trying to keep fit for the good of his health??

mine.are.never.on.a.lead.unless.lamping.

they.are.out.2/3.hours.daily.

only.to.were.ever.im.going.and.there.not.on.a.lead.then.like.i.said.the.only.time.they.are.on.a.lead.is.a.slip.lead.when.lamping.

Mine get put on the lead until they get to the nearby field in case they see a cat on the way. Once in the field I let them off to run around until they have enough and come and lie down next to me. This can take anything from 10 mins to 2 hours depending on their mood. I then walk them a few miles along the coastal path and then put them on the lead and walk home the road way. If I see any other dogs I usually clip them back on as while they are not aggressive if a dog has a go at one of them the other two will pile in and help him.

never road walk :thumbs: let them run free

 

free running is amust aswell but sorry mate road work is a defo and alot of it aswell

my dogs do next to f**k all road work always free run them. never work from a slip either. they have always been fine.

do you have to put on a slip when working, lamping, with other dogs or not mate just curious
