how do the farmers put it down? genuine question.

from passed experience, working with the dept of agriculture here in Ireland, farmers, talk to each other at marts and if one farmer, has mxyd rabbits, another that has problems with them, asks that farmer, to get a few for him, which he does, as some mxy rabbits, that don't run much, are easy to catch. they put a few in a bag and the farmer with the rabbit problem, collects them and introduces them to his healthy rabbits. In a week, the place has mxy rabbits everywhere and in most cases here in Ireland, they eventually get wiped out!

It sickens me, when they do this!

Also, in a area, that has a high rabbit population, you will all ways get the cowboy hunters, with their .22's and silly dogs, trespassing and reckon havoc, to livestock ect, this puts the farmers backs up and this is another reason for them, to introduce the mxy, as if their is no rabbits, then their is no would be poachers. !

Sad state of affairs really. :(

shame really, as were not all bad

Exactly.

As i said i am not an ex[ert but from my observations that is what happens. The rabbits die and then recover, thier is a romour about that farmers/land owners are putting mixy down and have been doing so for a long time.
