DEERHOUND CROSSES

Ive got a first cross bull/deerhound he is gonna make a lump of a dog ,he is only a pup still so cant say what he will be like yet he either makes it i guess or its a big hole to dig :laugh:

Nope not really a photo person i prefer taking photos of the kids if i take a camera out :laugh: bullxryno may have some pictures of them he has the litter sisters to mine but dont know if hes got any recent ones :thumbs:

just 2 compare them 2 dai and dean bull/deerhound

Well there just pups at the minute so they could go anyway i guess looking at dais dog they look of a similar stamp at the moment and could go that way but being a first cross there is no telling at the moment to be honest i aint fussed how it turns out so long as it does the job ill be happy :thumbs:

if I could find a good 1st cross beardie collie x greyhound dog and my 1st cross deerhound greyhound bitch turns out any good and can do me 4 or 5 good seasons graft first id look to this croos as a better all round lurcher than its parents on paper.

 

any one seen any deerhound greyhound x beardie greyhound (only intrested in hearing of young from the two first crosses). how do or did they do on f & d ?

what would you think a beardied give you rather then collie or is just what you prefer

Yes, this young dog is deerhound/greyhound x beardie/greyhound, still very young but showing promise.

realy smart dog keeps ,defo took more 2 the deerhound side imo

Do you think? to me she doesnt look like either :unsure:

i have,nt seen many smooth coat deerhounds but the ones i have seen have all had simlier type head on them ,same as yours,was the dam and sire both rough coated :thumbs:

Ive not seen any others (that Ive known the breeding of) of this cross to compare. Yes both parents were smooth, all but 2 in the litter were also rough, the rough ones all seem to have thrown to the deerhound.
