Just saw this on preloved, think the guy must be a breeder because how else can you sell 50 babies all of mixed breeds.

Probably just a guy who's stuck a hob in with 5 different coloured jills and hoping to make a fast buck, it gets done by loads of people every year.

Its the same every year somebody thinks brreding ferrets a great way to make some easy money ,wont be so easy if hes stuck with 50 of them all summer and has to feed them

it would be nice for these people to learn a harsh lesson(i assume we all think they breed hundreds just for the money?)but in the end the ferrets would probably just suffer...

Ah hate folk like this,, it`s because of dicks like him that I end up with near dead ferrets that folk can`t look after,, and the rescue centres are full at this time of year as well,, wanker

Bloody hell he wants a good price for them doesn't he, although i do think ferrets are under priced especally when you think of the sport they give us and our dogs.

 

I've bred a couple of litters this year as i wanted a couple of jills myself and although there not cheap to rear (I've bought 3 x 20kg bags of james wellbeloved ferret food upto now at £28.50 a bag) i'd sooner offer them free to good working/pet homes. The lads that have come to pick up the kits over the past week have all commented on how steady they are and given me a little towards feeding costs saying they were more than happy with them. I leave it upto them if they want to give me anything for them its entirely upto them.

 

Thankfully i've just had a hob vasectomised so will probably just breed a litter as and when i need a couple of jills myself.

 

If anyone is looking for a nice polecat x (1/4 european polecat hob x Polecat x jill) at the moment they are nearly 3 weeks old and there are a few that look as though they may be a sable colour. There will be Jills and hobs available in 5 weeks. Terms as above and i'm Near Doncaster

Totally agree with you mate, we have scum around here dumping jills with litters of kits, most get run over first thing in the morning as they don't like the wet grass and sit on the roads!!!. Seen a few run over recently between Bawtry and Tickhill. It would be kinder to put them to sleep than dump the poor mites.

And in that ad on preloved- they guy who's a ferret 'breeder' must have a clue about ferrets when he can't even spell hob(hobb) or Jill(gill) right! So what is he doing with 5 bloody litters?
