Dan_Mercian 27
Hello, I'm selling a gun, ive just been messaged by someone requiring "the number on the top strap (in full)" Is that the kind of information you give? Why would someone need to know it? (I understand the need to enter it on your certificate once sold but before you've even looked at it I don't know why you'd need it) Sorry I'm just new to it so don't really know the ins and outs. kieran222 0
They may want the serial number to allow them to contact the manufacturer to get info on the gun (detailed spec). I have done this in the past when the seller is not exactly sure about the spec of the gun. Hope this helps. Quote Link to post
pestcontrol121 11
I have done this as well to find out the date of manufacture, the lad told me the rifle was 2 years old and found out it was 7 years old by the serial number Quote Link to post
