pestcontrol121 11
As said Eley first are good but try and get a few different makes of 28 gram fibre Cartridge and pattern them 1st, you don't want to be buying X amount and finding out they're no good for your 12g

andylad 1
Different cartridges perform differently in different guns so I would say get a couple of boxes of Eley/Express/etc and see which you like and performs best mate....
jackinbox99 41
In all fairness ive seen very little difference between cartridges personally. I always buy in bulk, usually 1000 at a time and I tend to go for what ever my local shop has on offer. My local clay ground always just stocks Eley, and they are good. Im sure the last lot of cartridges i bought were called "sportsters" or something like that, green box with a pic of some guy shooting clays on them. Green cartridges. They were very cheap but work a treat for me, i must have got through about 800 of them already.
NIckinSurrey 6
I have tried a variety but in truth notice little difference. I feel that there is more variation in gun mounts, stance etc. that will influence your results more than cartridge type until you have considerable experience. Personally, I like the 28g/8 Blue Diamonds. A bigger problem seems to be that half of them have polystyrene pellets . Nick
mally 832
Gamebore black gold are an excellent clay cartridge, very fast and clean burning. Alot of people also use this cartridge for shooting partridge. http://www.gamebore.com/page.php?id1=2&id2=
remi700 99
The one you shoot best with! I have great faith in eley Olympics but that's just because I shoot everything with them, pigeons crows game clays. There's no such thing as a bad cartridge, its all in your head. If it goes bang the rests up to you! Atb Mark
Furittus 35
They will all do the job if you have the right address on them, but I would agree with remi700 eley blues, for price and performance are hard to beat .
Guest cookiemonsterandmerlin
Black and gold by a mile but not cheap ATB Cookie
Nik_B 3,790
I've never seen any difference between them personally...maybe if you are an amazing shot or something you might. I pull the trigger, it goes bang and the clay breaks or not. I just get the cheapest ones which I believe are Hull X 28 gram. I did start out on the 21 gram and I couldn't tell much difference between them and the 28 gram either.
Lock Stock & Barrel 0
The Fiocchi 'Top One' is one I use as a standard clay shell, decently priced too - here's a review: http://www.gunmart.net/accessories_review/fiocchi_top_one_-_budget_clay_shotgun_cartridges/
