Nemo, Yes it is the commando memorial, to commemorate the training ground. Its near speanbridge about 10 miles north of fort william. The fourth pic down is a picture of Fort William from about 3 quarters of the way up Ben Nevis. SR Edited February 23, 2007 by staffiretrieve
AKA-BRINDLE 879
Fourth pic down looks like its taken by the small loch on Nevis just before the path takes a sharp turn and the climb gets really f****n hard! done it a few years back with the wife an kids one of the best holidays we have ever had! was in May the weather was kind to us but the smuit was still coverd in snow up to your knees, no real path just had to follow others foot prints, but well worth it! Glenn Nevis also worth the walk through the pass to steel bann(spelling) waterfall also make sure to stop in the Ben Nevis Inn good grub too! been all over fort william and west coast over the years but best place we stayed at was 'Lone pine lodge' fort william(torlundy farm?) dog freindly aswell! (f**k i sound like judith bloody charmers! )
