jf1970 328
i don't understand why some people find it hard to imagine a whippet taking on a fox and finishing the job, the whippet imo is a very under rated dog. Quote Link to post

I have a whippet here now, she is 10 maybe 11, she has taken fox on the odd occasions and by pure accident, i would never call a whippet a fox dog, and they never will be, ive seen my whippet take a fox, then the month after run one and back right off. They are just not fox dogs Quote Link to post

doctorblow 2
Wonder why owners of 30" heavy dogs dont come on the site and say their dogs can rabbit and ferret as good as a 19" whippet.Simple - they would get the piss took out of them, and rightly so but that doesnt mean that big dogs cant catch rabbits. Big dogs are big for a reason, small dogs are small for a reason, each have their uses, why try to change it? Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
f****n hell this place is full of retards. Hedz, nancyboy et al, When did anyone say taking 5/6 foxes made a dog a fox dog? NO ONE DID. When did someone suggest using a whippet as an all out fox dog? NO ONE DID. When did someone say every whippet would take a fox? NO ONE DID. When did someone say whippets were as good as big dogs for fox? NO ONE DID. A simple question was asked, can a whippet kill a fox? And the simple answer is yes it can. The rest is just the usual THL bullshit. Quote Link to post
