Im really pissed off.Inan. i know the feeling.. i have the same lamp and after only two month of owning it (from new) mine did the same thing.. and on another night out me and my mates lamp both went down on us.. i solderd mine back together and melted plastic all down the inside to prevent it from happening again.. wether it works or not time will tell lol it certainly seems alot better tho Edited February 21, 2007 by Boom Quote Link to post
snoopdog 1,256
i never had a problem with mine till the other night ..the wire came loose in the handle of the lamp just as we had a bambi in the beam .... ..so me and my mate did a bodge job on it managed to get the wire sorted but as i was doing it ..it touched another wire and blew the fuse ...we didnt have any fuses with us ..so i got my lambert and butler out got the silver paper out of the packet rapped it round the fuse ...all this was done with the light of my lighter ... .it took about twenty mins ..by this time everything had fooked off..... always take a spar fuse and some insalation tape ...i dindnt because i fecking forgot ...never forget the fags tho...always come in handy... blackpack 70
its happend to us aswell, jumped over fence put on lamp and no joy. wires came undone inside lamp, took it to local gun shop and he said the same, good when they work. he has now taped the coiled cable to mthe lamp to stop strain on the cord seems to have worked Quote Link to post
Guest Dale
I have a Lightforce striker aswell and i had problems the last time out - I was lifting my lurcher pup over a double fence and his big, long gangly legs got caught on the lamp and ripped the wires out in the handle, me mates lamp was alright so i tried to bodge the wires together but could i f**k strip the insulation with my teeeth!!!! I managed a poor effort and twisted the ends together which worked for a few minutes but the movement must of caused them to come undone, luckily i had a spare in the van to carry on for another hour or two!Next day i got me tools out and used some connector blocks to sort the job. happend to me last night , the 2 red connectors joining the wire come away , ive had to cut the red bits and just tie the wires round each other , the striker is 1 hell of a lamp , for beam ect but as for connections its f*ucking usless the wires were hanging out of the handle ect , .. Irish Lurcher 1,013
In recent months I have noticed an increase in complaints about the light force wiring. One. Has anybody made direct complaints to the company re this issue? Two. I bet if the company was to be bombarded with emails complaining they would rectify this issue. People complain and do nowth about it, unless Light Force is made aware of this issue they we will be here next year nagging about the wire on my light force. Has anyone complained to them direct?? Worth a try. Quote Link to post
elma-fudd 0
to put it in one word about the wiring on the lightforce it is shit ma 170 burst its conections in a week but i fixed the conections my self and put a bigger knot inside the lamp to stop it getting pulled out its worked fine ever since, only one other gripe about it the bloody filters for it are nippy to use and carry. bullcross1 10
lads a had a bit trouble with my striker, with the connections etc. put a tie wrap just inside the handle were the wire goes through. and this wil act as a cord grip and willl stop the pull on the connections. if that makes any sense Edited February 22, 2007 by tracker Quote Link to post
