most types will make a decent rabbit dog, a lot also depends on the training an keenness to get the dog oot an running lots of rabbits

only thing with whippets is SOME don,t have the stamina and guts 2 do hard nights lamping ,i would say beddy/grey ,collie/grey or beddy/whip collie/whip imo

diffrent people gel better with diffrent dogs....

diffrent dogs suit diffrent land.........

 

i hunt a lot a varied land for the humble bunny an out an out speed merchants just dont cut the mustard up here

most will handle a hard nite or 2, its when them hard nites turn in to 4/5/6/7 nites a week that i think the whippet losses it appeal, they just drop condition an are too fast for there own good.........

 

 

if i was to buy a dog solely for ferreting however, a whippet would be top of my list
