Guest Eamon.Mc
How many non hunters are there on the forum, ie;will any of you actually admit to not hunting, and are just here to read the boards?
gnasher16 30,217
Well i dont mind admitting ive never hunted anything in my life.........YET ! im certainly not new to animals(well dogs anyway)having spent the first half of life in the middle of a city ive seen very little of the countryside, however what with the way my particular breed has gone over the years, plus the fact that i have now moved out into the countryside.....i am currently learning as much as i can about hunting,be it dog, bird or ferret !....and what better place to learn than a site such as this. The passion for my breed is as strong as ever, hence most of my posts in that section ... but learning about hunting is the reason im here...no shame in that, even for a soft southern city boy ! Aled 506
How do you define "non hunter"? I do a lot of fishing, some rough shooting, and airgun shooting, but i don't (at present) work a dog (have done in the past) what ferreting i've done has been with other peoples ferts, but i wholeheartedly support hunting, and i do enjoy reading about different types of hunting. Hope to own some ferts one day, the wife will need some persuading though...... Cheers Aled
Ray Mears 272
i try.. sometimes i fail sometimes i dont...
Guest Eamon.Mc
I would define a non hunter as someone who does not partake in the act of fieldsports be it fishing shooting etc.etc. It seems quite clear realy someone who just reads the boards.
shepp 2,285
Well I'm a non hunter at the moment due to my living situation but I grew up with ferrets and dogs, with my last two lurchers dying of old age a couple of years ago. I come on this site to gain knowledge ready for when I move to Australia next month, when I buy or breed a dog out there I want to make sure it's the right one for the job because I will be keeping it for life regardless. I think it's a great site and i'll be very happy when I can contribute later in the year, as a hunter again.
mavphill 0
I am not a "hunter" I work in the countryside and have a passion for nature. I only shoot when being shot at! I am a strong advocate for countryside management. Don't forget, more people watch football than play it. Edited February 22, 2007 by mavphill

Aled 506
Oh in that context i'd rather be hunting that sat here reading the board, but it makes my breaks from work enjoyabe Cheers Aled
THE STIFFMEISTER 16,098
If you mean hunters by ie actively going out to find game...Then Thats me however I would say most welsh lads on here are not proper hunters as from my vast wealth of experience, all they do is yawn stretch roll out of bed and go to the bottom of their garden digging
