Cold Ethyl 63
Hot water just sets stains in i use a 60 degree or higher for the dogs beds and stuff just to make sure nothing survives on it.Modern soap powders work via the chemical or enzymes.Watched a programme about stain removal products on watchdog afew months ago and they catagorically proved theyre crap they dont do aything more or less than soap
bouncer 51
Just had a new washing machine .As im not that bad at diy i put it in myself ,on the old one there were two pipes in hot and cold on the new one there's only one so off to B&Q where i bought a Y shaped fitting put this on jobs done. Now it ran ok for a while but when the machine stopped the over flow in the roof started running .I think the cold water is forcing its way back up the hot pipe and into the tank in the roof space causing it to over flow .Thing is what to do to stop this ? should i blank off the hot pipe and just connect the cold ? or has any one got any other ideas your not bad at diy so a washing machine comes with 1 pipe and has 1 connector on the back of the washer and you still think it needs hot and cold. :11:
