victoria vixen 0
As a full time controller in the US, I was wondering what products were available and how to get them? I am interested in"rabbit snares" in particular, as I first saw these in a video from a contoller in England(I think it was The Warnner?) named Patrick Carrey. He called these snares"Bullseye snares" because they were "SPOT on". Anyway I make my mink snares out of 1/16 and 3/64 cable. My best year was 66 mink. I also snare squirrels, coyotes, raccoons, foxes, bobcats, and beavers among other things. I also make fox and mink gland lure if any one has any interest in that. I am interested in the "things" that people use in the UK, as I am not as familar with your products and methods as they differ from ours here in the US. Any help would be appreciated. Guest Ditch_Shitter
Speak to Woodga abour Rabbit Wires. He sells his own DVD instructing ye how he makes and uses them too. Regards " Things "? In my view, there's a lot more Things we'd want from US than you'll ever find here. Most of our more favoured traps are imported from US as it is. Personally, I'm always on the look out for the best US sources who accept Pay Pal. I have no credit card and am eager to aquire some mink sized BMI Locks, eg. I asked The Snare Shop about PP and got a short answer I currently use Gerald Schmit. But he doesn't stock everything I may require. Quote Link to post

Yokel Matt 918
I wouldn't place too much confidence in the so called 'bulls eye' method. Its sounds far too much like the method i used before i came on this forum and learned any better. I think its bollocks. Check out the threads from Snareman and Woodga... they give invaluable advice and tips. Woodga's DVD is a blinder as well. Quote Link to post

Does he have an e- mail address or web site? On BMI locks or anything to do with trapping or snaring in general...I can probably do you better than The Snare Shop or Schmits. They do have a large selection but I would say I could match or beat their prices on most things. My overhead is not as large as theirs so often I can cut you a better deal. You just have to tell me what you're looking for. On the BMI locks, I personally would rather have the "slim" lock for quickness and low visability. I have used it on fox, mink, coyotes and beaver on the 1/16 cable and have been very pleased. I also use them on 3/64 cable for minks and grey squirrels with great success. vv I wouldn't place too much confidence in the so called 'bulls eye' method. Guest Ditch_Shitter
Vix: I'm being a bit bombarded with opinions of this bit of kit and that just at the moment. Head's quite spinning with trying to keep up with it all. But I Have heard enough that I'll not be dealing with The Snare Shop. So consider them out of the race, over heads or not. Having just PM'd ye, to say I'll let " Woodga " know about this Thread, I see he's here with me right now. So that's that sorted Mheanwhile, I'm about to start looking for opinions / advice and, obviously, best prices on a new set of kit. Expect another PM from me within 24 hours Quote Link to post
