Im in the process of filling out my FAC and just wondering what sort of ammunition allocation I should put down for a 22 rimfire for shooting a few rabbits on a small farm. I know rimfire allocations can be up to 1000/1200 rounds but wouldnt think I would use a lot of ammo so what do you recommend? Also how easy it is to change your ammo allocation should I get more land to shoot on and so need more?

Cheers

currently have the following 'aquire'

22lr 1000

17hmr 500

223 100

with a 'possess'

22lr 1200

17hmr 700

223 150

For me its more than enough without having a seperate ammo safe; if I buy to the max' Im allowed my top box is full.

I get through 22lr and hmr as I have a lot of acres and vermin to clear and 100 rounds of 223 is plenty enough, when its gone I just buy more, simple.

In Fife you will only be able to buy 250 and store 300 at any one time. I just got my fac and I have a hell of a lot of rabbit ground due to the fact i work for the local hunt and that is all they would allow me being my 1st time buddy, Del.

I'm covered by Grampian Police and was advised to 500 to buy and 700 to hold.

It's also handy that .22 Lr Rimfire come in handy cases of 500.

Our local firearms department also check what you've bought over the pass years.

With the like of .308 being over a £1-30 a round and .22-250 at £1-00 a round you'd not have more than a 200 at one time.
