jasper65 6
Dear all, Here is a link to the latest film from BASC, about the threat to airguns in Scotland http://www.basc.org.uk/en/media/basc-films/the-scotland-bill.cfm Best wishes David thats a good link David . surely the idea of Licencing Air rifles in scotland would be virtually impossible to police? many Airgunners would never come forward if a Licencing system was introduced. There's also the chance that it will spead across the border into England if it was deemed succesfull . definitely one for us all to sit up and take note off.... Jasper Quote Link to post
David BASC 0
Yes there is always a chance of this spreading as you correctly point out. It will be all but impossible to make sure everyone who has an airgun licences it, after all those who use airguns illegally will not give a fig about licencing! David Quote Link to post

Exactly the same with firearms in this country. Quote Link to post
Rake aboot 4,936
The only thing that bothered me was BASC trying to convice folk that BASC members will be "approved users" or whatever,, implying that non members won`t be. ATB Quote Link to post
David BASC 0
BASC are not trying to convince anyone that BASC members will be approved users! This came from a recently elected SNP member who said that there would be many good reasons for owning an airgun and being a member BASC was one of them. The real issue is that we have a threat and we should come together to fight that threat. Unfortunately most airgunners are not members of BASC, or BASA , which is shame as we can only fight threats if we have the funds and resources to do so. The more members we have the more powerful we will be. David Edited June 4, 2011 by David BASC Quote Link to post
Rake aboot 4,936
Basa are a joke! would not encourage anyone to join that waste of space crowd. I can understand that having the voice of the people etc is good for the sport, but I would say that all the sporting groups have airgun interest, including SGA etc ATB Quote Link to post
