blan89 159
who do you think wins and why? Will Haye be able to use his superior speed to keep Wlad from settling down and getting his shots off? will Haye even be able to get past Wlads jab if chooses to try and out box him? Will Wlad be able to survive the initial onslaught if Haye chooses to jump on him from the first bell? I dont think Haye can out box wlad for long,I think when he starts tiring and starts slowing he wont have the tools to keep getting into range to get his shots off without getting caught, which then imo leads to him getting worn down fairly quickly and likely stopped. If he jumps on him from the start I just see Wlad covering up/clinching and just surviving until inevitably Haye tires after a couple of rounds and then himself press forward and KO Haye. The only way I can see Haye taking this is by either coming in from awkward angles avoiding the clinches and hurting wlad early or it turning out Haye is a lot stronger than previously thought pressuring Wlad and wearing him down. Will be a good fight however it goes i hope.

blan89 159
Its hard to say whos better at this point imo vitali's got some mileage and not just through boxing and has been very inactive in recent years. Vitali was undoubtedly the best in his day though.
gnasher16 30,095
Im no good at predicting fights....but its early yet anyway. I always like to see a fighter at the weigh in,see what sort of shape he,s in,see how healthy he looks facially....especially at heavyweight.... When fighters are this close in skills and ability its often the little things in the build up that give an edge so hard to predict anything this far out from a fight.....all else being equal i certainly think Hayes got the tools to get him out of their, and we know he has the patience to fight around him over 12 rounds......so for me it all comes down to preparation and/or not making mistakes....like most fights really Edited June 3, 2011 by gnasher16

Tomm Parr 30
Haye shall get utterly annihlated against Wladimir Klitschko. I expect the ref to step in in the middle rounds. However it were against Vitali Klitschko, the older brother, i'd be surprised if it lasted 3 rounds.

Will be a good fight however it goes i hope. Vlad has got a pretty dodgy history of burning out early as well so the same could be said for him, especially if he's made to miss! I think Haye CAN win this bout, but he's going to have to stick to the game plan and cannot take his eye off the ball for a second. If he hurts Vlad (which I expect him to do) then I don't want to see him smother his own work with big wide wild shots as he trys for the stoppage. Sometimes he gets a bit ragged and excited when he sees his opponent in trouble. I think Haye needs to use plenty of movement and use raiding tactics, try and keep Vlad missing and take every opportunity Vlad gives him. Vlad panics when he is caught with hurtful punches and doesn't react well to effective pressure. But in saying all that, I think all it will take is one mistake and Haye is going to be seeing stars :black eye: . It'll be a real interesting bout, but anyone wanting a war will be disappointed as this won't be one of those bouts. I think there will definitely will be a KO but it'll be a game of chess up until it happens. Best of luck to you though Dave . No,Vitali is the better fighter..... I'd say that Vlad is the better Boxer, but Vitali is the better fighter.
