There is a Shortage of 300 Bar bottles

Manufactures can not keep up with Demand :whistling:

Trouble is that Test Date go from Maufacture not sale

There has been some so called Bargins around

Only for owners to find out they are old bottles with Short Test Dates

Also if you Buy a A-Clamp or Din fitting it needs Testing every Two years

Where a Air Gun Valve Only needs Testing every Five Years

Test Fees are £40.00 plus ....

You can decant down - as most Filling Stations charge the same to fill 300 Bar

It pays to get the largest bottle available

Yes Air might be Free - But pumping it to 300 Bar cost Money ......

I here that they are now bringing out None Diving Bottles - for Air Gunners

which advised are a few £'s better

It pay's to check out local filling Stations

As they might offer a better deal if aware you will be returning for Fills

There is not a lot to play - in Trade Price -

Especially with ever increasing Carriage costs

Bob, tripe, rubbish, balderdash and crap.

I use a PADI dive centre for my testing. His hydrostatic test price is £25 inc VAT and refill, that test has to be carried out once every five years on bottles with valves that can be used underwater (that is a valve without a gauge). His visual tests are only £10 inc vat (carried out every 2 and a half years on cylinders without gauges in the valves) once again refill included.

Folks shop around, there could well be somewhere closer to you that does testing and refilling a damned site cheaper than Bob is being charged. Bob if you are being charged that much mate you are being robbed! Mugged! Otherwise fiscally disadvantaged.

Oh if anybody doubts me the web site for the company I use is...

East Coast Diving

So take a bargain, tests are not that damned expensive!

In the end I went to my local shop sds.

Got a 12 litre at £230.

Was manufacturer stamped April sold to me in may so no short test dates. Air rifle gauge with a 5 year test.

Happy days, they charge £3 to refill the cylinder.

One question can you get a blanking screw for the air cylinder?
