Had a very real experience on 5th Dec 2003 , as I went to collect my son from school , I always took the old terrier with me for run as I had to cross 2 fields to reach the school

 

This particular day was cold but sunny being Dec the sun was low & as i went to loose the dog I always checked if there were any other dogs on the field as she was a pain in the butt with other dogs

 

As i sheiled my eyes from the low sun i saw a tall dark figure walking away from me in the worn path across the diagonal of the field , but as i saw no dog i loosed my hyper terrier from her lead & she went beserk , I looked up to see what the hell was wrong with her & the person / figure I saw had vanished

 

Weird bizarre , unreal experience that made no sense to me untill 12 hours later , people just dont disappear in seconds , it plagued me for the rest of the day , then i checked my e mail after the kids had gone to bed & read that my friend had passed away at 3.30 pm Friday 5th Dec

 

 

I have no idea why i saw what i believe was her as she took her life , but it was very real & if i shut my eyes I can see that tall dark figure even now , its probably the most vivid thing & in a way very beautiful because the suns rays fanned out across the fields as i saw her & then she had gone

 

No ones death before or since has had such an impact on my life as hers did , and i was plagued with guilt because i spoke to her at noon that day & she was looking forward to seeing me two weeks later & i had no idea she was already slowly dying

 

A selfish way to die but I hope she is happy where she is x god bless

Woah Kay your giving me the heebie jeebies there...............reminds me of a Keeper i know who was out on the Estate one day walking his dogs when his terrier just bolted off. He shouted and shouted on it but it ran full tilt away from him never looking back. After searching for a while, with no luck he soon got contacted and was told that his son had just been killed in a car accident.. The dog was back in the kennel all of 20 miles away........

Now i dont believe in ghosts but when a man tells you something like that after just loosing a son then i believe that dogs have some kind of sixth sense for this stuff.....

 

I have ever seen anything before that & since , oddly enough it didnt scare me maybe because it was broard daylight the whole thing was just bizarre , I can still visualise it now even as a memory its very vivid , the dog was just mad for that whole walk , no supprise for a terrier but she ran to the spot where i had seen this & sniffed just about every blade of grass but again no real supprise for a terrier

 

I genuinly dont know what i saw & what to call it & if i am honest if someone had told me about this kind of thing i would have thought far fetched at best

 

Its just one of them things that happened to me , I have told this loads of times & had people come back saying things like it was a crisis apparition, all sorts of things, but its probably more likely some weird mind thing to make me feel less guilty

Have you ever looked at this scientifically, or looked at what's more likely? You saw a dark shape whilst squinting at the sun which disappeared later. Stare at any light and you will see a dark circle for a few seconds, why would you jump to a supernatural explanation? Or even if there was a person walking and they proceeded to fall down a hole, which then unfortunately collapsed etc it would still be more likely than a supernatural explanation. We know holes exist, we know how gravity works and we know it could happen, we also know what can't happen. There is a very simple scientific answer to all of these stories.

 

Your right there is always a scientific explanation , I really did look for a logical one at least , but i still cant quite work out how a tall figure wearing black trousers & a waist length black puffer jacket could just disappear in a split second

 

I scanned the field which being dec was quite short & my initial thought was they had fallen . the dogs behavoiur was different as well , she went crazy . barkng & ran to the spot i had seen this thing , as i was picking my lad up from school i had an arrangment with him that he met me on the field as the school backed on to it & I asked him if he had seen anyone go past him & he saw nothing

 

It just defies logic basically

As we were waiting for the Hearse to arrive with my Great Nan's coffin in, a few of us including my Granddad were in the living room looking at photos of my Great Nan. As we were looking at these photo's the lights in the living room flickered on then off, it was in the day time so there was no need to turn the lights on. Just as they flickered off a family member shouted into the house from the front garden that the Hearse had arrived! No one was by the light switch and as far as I know there wasn't anything wrong with the electrics in the house. Like you said it didn't seem scary, it just seemed weird.

 

I swear on my children's lives that is exactly what happened, and the other people that was in that room are there to confirm what happened. But even so, I still do not believe that it is anything to do with spirits or ghosts or any of that garbage. We don't know why it happened but I'm not going to cling onto the hope that my Great Nan is still somehow with us, keeping an eye on us and all that. As far as I'm concerned it was a coincidence and that's it.

 

We've come from the earth originally and when we die, we simply go back to the earth, That's the way it is IMO.

 

To be fair I'm having a hard enough time dealing with this reality, let alone worrying about other realms and ghosts and what not .

My ma and pas house has some strange goings on, we all laugh about it being the old bloke that used to live there that died in a car accident 2 weeks after we bought the house off him. I was staying there on my own when I was about 20 cos they'd gone on holiday, I got up one morning and went downstairs and the gas ring on the cooker was on full blast but not lit, but if I'd have somehow left it on from the night before the whole house would have stunk of gas and I'd have been blown into the next village when I came down and turned the light on. Also, when we moved in we have a loft conversion done so the steps upto the loft are now in the middle of the landing, for a few years after we moved in every now and again you'd hear a bang as if someone had walked into the steps even though there was noone upstairs. And the thing that really shit me up was when I was in the house on my own, in bed just about to go to sleep and there was three loud knocks on the bedroom door, nobody else was in the house though and when I opened the door there was no one there. Even with all this though I still wouldn't truly believe anything until I'd seen something or someone in front of my own eyes........then I'd have a heart attack on the spot so noone would know about it anyway

strange you mention that,it was before my time,but when my great nan was on deaths door staying in my nans house she called my grandad up stairs when he got there she said it doesnt matter (she was losing it a bit) and he closed the door and was about to walk off when he heard a smash,when he went back in to see what happened the double glazed window had been smashed from the inside out and my great nan was dead.

 

the insurance man said it was as if someone had thrown something heavy out of the window from inside to smash it.

That sort of thing happened when the girls gran passed away a few months back. She didnt feel well 1 night and got taken to hospital and just rapidly went down hill over night and died in the morning. She wasn't a fit lady and had her fair share of problems, age related but it was still a big shock for everyone. Next day they had a family meeting at her house and when i got there i noticed the clock on the tv was flashing like there had been a power cut......i counted back since it had went of and it was an hour later than when she died.........freaky!!!!......
