I wouldnt be taking more than a couple of rabbits this time of year,but f**k the pheasants as long as its not on the keepers land smash them,they're nothing but a pain in the arse anyway,i'd put them lower than rats if they weren't edible,ive hit about 10 in the car so far this year.

it's a few pheasants that's all, how do you know that the land is shot over where he was mooching? There's no shoot near me for miles around and there are plenty of pheasants, I'll happily take them in any form of hunting. They are good eating! At the end of the day these rich landlords and toff's will happily cull hares in huge numbers with guns. Not exactly showing a lot of respect for our NATIVE quarry. But when we take a few pheasants by chance we are committing a crime. Put things in to perspective!

heres a thought for you maybe the landowners shoot hares to keep every tit with a lurcher off the land we all know hares can be seen day and night and are an attraction to some lurcher folk mainly the one that would slip on partridge or pheasants aswell so id say its a bit of a viscious cycle which dog men dont do thereselves any favours yet again.

when your bushing/mooching whatever you call it you don't have dogs on slips generally. I doubt the majority of pheasants caught by lurcher folk are not deliberately caught just are caught in cover or in there seat by a dog with a good nose. I can see why some people would be mad if someone went out deliberately with a lurcher and poached dozens of pheasants but this was not the case. Accidents happen. I don't think you can justify the mass killings of hares by blaming lurcher folk either, but your entitled to your opinion.
