irishnut 297 Posted June 1, 2011 Author Report Share Posted June 1, 2011 i'll be reloading .222, mostly for killing paper and the odd fox. i do hope in the very near future to be joining a gun club, so who knows what i'll end up shooting. but killing pieces of paper is expensive, currently using remington 50gr hollow points. i was using norma ballistic tips, but never really took to them, with the remingtons i'm getting on well, zero'd at around 40yrds and again at near 200yrds, inch and bit high at 115-120 yrds. but 75p a shot is just plain nasty Quote Link to post

I would say yes , but it depends on how Anal you get about reloading, its a bit like fishing there is ALWAYS another bit of kit you can add to your set up.... Unless you dive straight in for an electronic dispencer/scale which would use up a large chunk of your buget you will easily get all you need to start reloading with good quality gear for under £500.. hope this helps 6pointer Quote Link to post

Probably more than you need,if you are going to stick with .222?? you wont need a massive press... Not quite sure what you get with a deluxe set, but i certainly rate RCBS quite highly, a turret press will certainly speed up the process for you, a comparator set is an essential part of any reloading kit, we all know how important length is Quote Link to post
zx10mike 137 Posted June 2, 2011 Report Share Posted June 2, 2011 the advantage of the lee set you will improve on factory ammo on a budget.if you dicide to upgrade scales you can watch for a bargain on e bay.i started for less than 300 pound and upgraded a couple of bits,to date i have still spent less than one million.
