jasper65 6
With the summer now coming up can anyone give us some ideas on meats and Recipes they use? Last year I saw a recipe which consisted of adding one bottle of Smoked BBQ sauce to a pan, 1 chopped onion, 2 table spoons of Honey, and 1 can of bitter or lager, <I used Caffery's >, bring to boil and then let it simmer until the onions soften. I did some pigeon breast and the normal BBQ stuff like sausages and burgers for the kids and all of these dipped or covered in the sauce above was well tasty, I also tryed cooking some burgers on the BBQ and then let them simmer in the sauce for 5 mins for the kids which was also pretty good ... jasper65 6
Oh mate that sounds good! I could stick a whole bunch on the Barby useing that recipe and they would be gone in 5 mins . So far the only different meats I have tried is Pigeon breast a bit of venison and some trout, but you're right some Kababs knocked up with some different meat on would be good, I would love to find out how to make some of the sauces they Marinate different meats in? either hot and spicey or one of the Jerk sauces or anything Herby just to add some different flavours.... Just found this one on the net that sounds good: http://homecooking.about.com/od/condimentr...r/blsauce13.htm This one sounds like it will blow your arse off: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rectal-Rocket-Fuel-I...VQQcmdZViewItem
jasper65 6
Fired up the BBQ today with all the usual stuff like sausages and burgers! this time I blasted in some Reggae Reggae sauce my missus got from the super market! in a pan it went with a chopped onion plus two heaped spoonfulls on runny honey! on top of this 1/4 bottle of Red wine, bring to the boil and simmer for about 10 mins to reduce it a bit... we plastered it on the burgers and plastered it on the just about everything and I tell ye!! it stuck to everything like shit to blanket and tasted superb, I reckon the best of the bunch was dropping the cooked chicken legs in the pan with the sauce and letting it simmer for a while before setting about eating them ...... I'll get some pic's up next time to wet a few appertites ........
