huntmad. 67
my misses just bought a collie bull grey pup , the cross sounds good so hopefully the dog will turn out half decent but i know a few boys who have had them and they have been brilliant dogs so i think they not far off the perrfect cross for me,, bit of brains ,drive and speed and all the ones iv seen always seem to have really good feet atb Quote Link to post
Guest born to run1083
Got a collie x pup at the moment at first I was getting nervous as she seemed very timid for no reason and as few member said on other topics the collie trait sometimes can get frustrating but the possitives out way the negs, retrieving has been a bliss from 12 weeks had her retrieving at good distances with balls and dummies just took to it natural didn't even have to train her. So in all very impressed. If someone could get a pic of the topic this yrs dogs and post them on hereof mine for me that would be great as not good at attaching photos lol Edited May 31, 2011 by born to run1083 Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
A wise old man of diminutive stature once told me, "if you want to catch rabbits day and night, get a collie/grey" . And they can do a lot more. The original 'lurcher'. Having said that they dont suit everyones tastes or personalities. Quote Link to post
poacher3161 1,766
First crosses can be a bit limited but when crossed back again to any other lurcher cross the dog of a lifetime can be owned. Quote Link to post
