I have worked 2 beds over the last 15 years and both were/is crackers above and below. my first beddy was a 3/4 cross fell which was just nuts all the time he was a small type only 15" tts so lacked the real power of a slightly larger dog but was very game, unfotunatley i lost him at 7 years old with liver failure. I now have a pure gutchcommon bitch 18 monyhs old with superb history, jester of gutchcommon, the mad ratter to name a few. she is quite a leggy bitch but with a really good narrow rib cage perfect for earth work. she is mega chilled out until she is worked then just has a one track mind. her strength and aggression and tenacity on game is unbelievable. IMO I dont think any terrier breed has as good scenting ability as a bedlington. My bitch has so much jaw power she dispatches the reds pretty damn quick. beddies are great dogs with a superb personality and providing they are of the right lines and entered well they will perform as good if not better than any other terrier. My bitch worked above for 8 months before she finally went to ground but once she did there was no stopping her. If anyone would like me to post some pics let me know

cheers

I have had 2 nuttals, ft x Russell and 2 short legged russells. They all have good and bad points. Why are bedlingtons introduced into whippet and greyhound and whippet blood? For there speed, tenacity and nose. Like I said good and bad bits to every dog my dogs do exactly what I want of them so they are good for me and I ain't on here to suck terrier mens dicks cus there dog has done this and that.

I fly goshawks as well and the bird fraternity is exactly the same

Welsh, i will be putting my old mans granitor to my bitch in about six months if that's any help. My dada has only done rabbit and mine has done all. Pups should be pretty leggy as my bitch is 17" tts but nice narrow ribcage.

I would not recomend bedlington for bushing they seem to hunt with nose in the Air not ur JRTs with nose 2 ground pushing throu Anything 2 get at there quary.I had worked all terriers lakies JRTs patterdales so decided 2 give the bedlington a go, I was put in touch with a man in swansea. told him the truth I new nothing of bedlingtons, He sold me a dog which He said was blue and tan turned out 2 be black and tan which would not look out place in any lakie show ring, the poor dog was blind by 18 months, through His Line, so if ur looking around YSTRADGYNLAS be aware of this pr##k. PS IT COULD BE A N WALES . S WALES THING GOOD LUCK
