Somthing big creeping around my neck of the woods

Recommended Posts

Right guys, came across this today at work in long'ish grass. There was no track in or out just this and it was about 7inch's long and had roe deer hair in it. Im puzzled, there was also some mucus next to it which was still wet so it couldnt have been that old. Whats your guess ??

Too big for a wildcat or a marten, i think.

It could just be badger... They can produce solid stools if they've been scavenging a carcass rather than eating worms.

It could simply be from another dog though... Is the area where you found it public?

A real conundrum this one!

I would say badger you would be surprised how far a badger will roam for food especially when it's dry and worming becomes hard for them

& now the cubs are a fair size ;)

All the badger latrines ive had a look at lately show that they are gorging on cherries.
