alan626 305 Posted May 31, 2011 Report Share Posted May 31, 2011 i started bringing my pup lurcher out when he was 8 months watching other dogs doing the bizz he didnt get his first slip till he was 10 months wat u need to do is get between the rabbit and his closest cover because more than likely thats wher the rabbit is going to head for if u can get witin 10 12 feet of the rabbit stop and encourage ur dog to look just say tis tis usally gets the pup alert hopefully by now the rabbits ears will start to twitch before he makes a break for it if ur dog still hasent senn it run towards the rabbit getting him excited if u think ur dog would catch up wit the rabbit before it hits cover then slip if ur not sure then dont slip . just remember his age and have plenty of paysions it will come to him Quote Link to post
