Help making my own purse nets

Hi, can anybody help with making my own purse nets. I haven't got a clue, what material to use, how big to make them or anything. Any help would be appreciated thnx

look for a video by big fish and rabbiteer possiby one of the best around, watched it the once and been making nets the same way since. i usually make mine 18 meshes wide and 16 meshes long on a 2 inch board which works out around 3 feet long, and the odd 20 mesh long nets just for any larger sets or 2 grouped close together. Get yaself onto agouti nets costs around 24 quid posted for a spun poly net making kit it says makes around 15 nets but using my method (very little wasted aswell) i managed 12 but youll never look back. better than any shop bought ones just time consuming.

 

would definately recommend it though, noting like taking pride in your sport and catching a rabbit in something you made yourself.

hello pal go on to the video clips on this forum and theres a net making clip on there by big fish it shows you what to do on there you can also buy net making kits for beginers on the aurthor carter web site good luck

Hiya mate,The Big Fish video is defenatly the easiest video to follow and I would highly recommend Agouti nets.

Just take your time and dont give in!
