photo comp rules

ok lads, i thought that if we're gonna do this comp we should set up some rules to abide by that everybody agrees to, so if we use this thread to bash em out over the next couple of days then we'll be good to go in june.

 

THE RULES!!!

 

all photo's MUST be taken on a hunting trip in the month they are entered for.

 

photos may be of anything you've seen whilst out hunting

 

quarry MUST be shown in a respectful manner.

 

NO tweaking of photo's

 

photo's will be posted in the competition thread, where they will be voted for initially by number of slut points earned, until the end of the month when the top 6 photos will be put in a poll for the final judging.

 

at the end of the year all 12 winners will be put in a poll so we can vote for photographer of the year.hopefully we can sort a prize for the final winner, the rest of the winners photo's will be collected up and used to make a calender to raise funds for 'help for heroes'.

 

by entering a photo you agree to it being used for this purpose.

 

now, if anybody wants to add any ideas or rules(i've kept them simple cos i am!) this is the place to do it. by the end of the first week of june(sunday 5th) the thread will be up on the airgun discussion board as a sticky, so if theres anything at all you'd like to see included then pease post it here before then.

just another thought,

 

would it be sensible to add that if you win one month, then you cant enter the next months, so everyone gets a chance to win, and it wont end up being just one persons shots throughout the entire year, with one only able to win a maximum of 6 times?

If it appeals to you lads I would donate a weekends sport as the prize to include deerstalking (rifle provided if needed and I will have any trophy head mounted for you and the venison butchered for the winner to take too) vermin through the day (air rifle or shotgun and again shotty provided if needed)and lamp at night I can't provide accommodation but their is plenty of space on the estate to camp.

 

Just a thought lads what's your views?

this is a right idea, just the thing to bring some camaraderie back to the site, SP all round, and what an offer Danw!!notworthy.gifthat to me sounds like the experience of a lifetime, i can almost smell that venison cooking alreadywhistling.gif Not sure what the other half would reckon to a mounted deer head in the house though! the rules seem pretty good and fair to me so far, i love the idea of Help for Heroes somehow benefiting from this as well. nice one guys.

Thats better lads, people getting on and offering some quality incentives :thumbs: One question............is there any room for an element of humour in the photos?? or is it gunna be all serious stuff?? i have a few idea thats all :whistling::tongue2: dont worry, i wont be nude in any of the photos (much to the dissapointed of ste, aka rossi-j) HAHA ;)

milsy, theres no rules governing what you take a shot of buddy, apart from the respect your quarry one obviously. you puts your photo up and folk decide on its artistic merits themselves...

 

dunno about any al fresco 'readers wives' type tho...

sorry andy, that was what i meant mate. hence why the shot for that months comp must be shot that month, so it'll be relevant to it.

another thing, will all folk who enter please keep their entrys somewhere safe as a back up should something awful happen and they get wiped from here, as i think it would be nice to do a page with all the entries on, as a thumbnails collage or something similar.

i'll post up the finished rules on the actual comp thread by the end of the weekend, so if anybody's got owt further to add, or wants to donate a prize then do so here before then!!

 

i'll bung £100s worth of tattooing into the prize pot as well as the above star prize.
