Its a shame Mike as you don't see them about as much as you used to a good few years back, personally I would rather take one on and fly than a Harrishawk due to the way they crash in headlong into cover and when fit take on the most unbelevable long slips.

I had a Male red hanging off my face many moons ago, he was a male I had flown on a off for a few years and for no reason he returned to the glove as usual and the next thing I know he nailed me, I ended up with some buuterfly stitches under my bottom eyelid a nice hole under my chin and one through my bottom lip, when I arrived home the wife thought I had been scrapping or had a good kicking with blood everywhere :whistling: .

He finally ended up in breeding enclosure with a nice female until I moved the pair on to a guy in scotland. trust me! going in with the pair when on eggs was a full battle dress occasion :whistling:, full face crash helmet, leather jacket and a thick scarf round my neck! both birds would be hanging off me when I entered the aviary to ring chicks or pull eggs.

I hope you manage to find one! they're a lovely hardy bird
