iworkwhippets 12,624
Had my eyes on some land for quite a while now, about a 20 minute run from my place, but could never find the landowner, but today i made it my business because the fields are heaving with bunnies, and i mean heaving, so with the dogs on leash, i managed to track him down, to be brief, permission granted, as long as i come alone just me n the dogs, role on the season, im over the moon, just to add, its a beautiful place to be, cant believe my luck, its one of those ideal settings , you say to yourself, no chance, he seemed very strict the landowner, no one else has permission, was it the fact i had whippets and not lurchers i ask myself Edited May 28, 2011 by iworkwhippets Quote Link to post

NEWKID 27,228
Nice one mate, I picked up 2 bits of permission last year down to my dogs being well behaved in front of the farmer/owner. Whilst working on one of the farms( replacing a barn roof) the farmer asked me if i would bring the pup up when she was ready as he would like to see her run, he was impressed with how she was around his cattle and kept saying what a nice dog she was ( I think he was after her really). I would say your dogs have done you proud mate whether thats because they are whippets or not I don't know. Quote Link to post
