docking microchip

Am i right in thinking if the pups where docked in ireland then they wouldnt need to be micro-chipped by law in england/wales? the docking law doesnt cover ireland yet does it?

Hi I just had my Lakeland pups done and I could only find 1 vet that would do it everyone else said no and he charged me 50 a pup and had all 5 done that's 250 for less than 5 mins work lol
