I was sayin to my lad today that had it been Arsenal in the final how i would have rooted for em?? Couldnt have rooted for City or pool but a wee club like yours id have rooted for ya. ATB makin the top 6 next season I right mate , think you have a short memory mate , that WEE club your talkin about BEAT Barcelona in London a few months ago playin them at there own game , yes it was the 1st of 2 legs , but last night was a 1 off game in London and man.u. didnt ccome close to lookin like they even had a chance , in fact i think they only had 1 shot on goal, Barca deserved champions of Europe . Come on mate, youve won nothing in 5 years simple, Were the finest team the country have. And will be for thr foreseable future. whats not winnin anythin got to do with the subject off Barcelona , you stated Arsenal are A WEE CLUB but facts and watching the game at the Emirates, we played the team that last night EMBARRASSED your lot and BEAT THEM a few months back in London, playin them at there own passin game , thats a fact so if where not good enough AND CAN BEAT THEM what was your problem last night not even competing with them , never mind being able to beat them , thinkin about it im not sure if Arsenal are the only team to beat them in europe this yr ! It was a one off 90 mins, and clearly Barca are the finest team in the world. (there beatable) but over the haul there the greatest. Chelsea and all there money got beat in Europe by the finest club in England (the champions) Arsenal are a wee club when it comes to the Elite clubs in England even city have more in them than Arsenal?? You play some great attacking football at times but you look silly when your having your pants pulled down by lower clubs week in week out. Im glad your season was fullfilled with that game against Barca, but at a big club like united that would be unthinkable. Arsenal winners of a Barca game 2011? sounds good but wont be remembered for long, Man u champs of England (written in the archives) ATB Buddy look forward to the new season a 1 off when Arsenal beat them YES , but what was last nights game A 2 OFF no it was also a 1 off and you lot didnt have the ability to compete with them , Man .u. are a GREAT CLUB but too say Arsenal arent 1 off the ELITE clubs in English football tells me your knowledge off football is as limited as united's threat last night We all have targets, as a Red at the start of the season i would have taken the title and couldnt give a toss for owt else, my season was fullfilled. Still i ithink when we sign Nasri he will take some replacing Its been a great season with the lower (new clubs) playing so well and the top teams under performing its been great, but i do get a feeling there will be top competition next season. I didn't think his performance was worse than anybody else's last night, in fact he was involved in and set up Rooney's goal, which was a cracker from the start of the move to the finish. Is it any wonder that we're so hated when our fans often react like that to one of the best servants our club has ever seen. The man has been playing at the highest level for over 20 years at one of Europe's top clubs & is still making telling contributions to winning silverware. At any other club he's be held up as some kind of untouchable god. The whole team were made to look ordinary last night by the best team in the world. To single one man out is (IMO) unwarranted & unfair. Yep I agree he is all the things you say he is but the guy wasn't playing last night like we all know he can. with all the crap he has suffered in the last week or so it must have got to him a bit? its bound to get to anyone! just take a look how it effected Rooney for a good part of last season. I'm thinking a Ryan Giggs playing last night without all the personal problems would have lit the place up as per usual with a few dazzling runs, as it was he linked up nicely with Rooney but for most of the game his usual spirit wasn't there, the man normaly thrives on these big games........ Messi - Argentinian Mascherano - Argentinian Abidal - French Pedrito - Tenerife Alves - Brazilian 6 of their starting 11 were Spanish. As regards Arsenal.......with a touch more ambition from the board,they could quite easily take over at the top of English football,to stay in the top 4 while spending hardly any money,moving to possibly the greatest ground in Europe,having virtually no debt.....is an accomplishment to rival anything Man Utd have done....sadly for the supporters their achievements are not all on the pitch and thats why they will continue to get stick. bendrover 556 Posted May 29, 2011 Report Share Posted May 29, 2011 Lads....sometimes in top level sport you just gotta hold your hands up and accept you,ve been beaten by a far superior opponent......On that performance by Barcelona last night Utd,Liverpool,Chelsea or Arsenal could play them every night of the week and never beat them.....the fact Utd only lost 3-1 proves to me they are the best team in England ! Yous can sit talking about what Utd did wrong and what players didnt perform but sometimes you can only be as good as an opponent allows you to be if individually and as a team they are basically too good for you. When they have the ball they make the pitch big when they dont have the ball they make the pitch small,they are technically brilliant,all have great vision and are all good athletes.......best side ive seen since ive been following the game and certainly no shame in losing to them. ffs gnash we agree Quote Link to post Share on other sites
