Alli 923
does your dog make it look easy?if yes you know you have a proper tool.but how many people put up with things moving, dog coming in and out, dogs coming off,not putting everything its got into getting you a result.do you think there is a lot of proper stuff out there?there isnt too much north of the border, its all mostly show shite, seems its all shampoo and brushing and not much else.mind i said mostly so take a deep breath. Hi mate, I think you need to get out more or get yourself some good digging mates if you think there is not much north of the border. I think you would be pleasantly suprised with some of the breeding up here. Yours in sport Pernod. awrite pal firstly i said theres not much up here true genuine workers ,not your wee pissy bayers.there is still some of us with lines going back to proper dogs ,as for getting out more youre funny PISSY BAYERS. YOUR THE REAL DEAL TERRIER MAN BY THE SOUND OF IT. GET A GRIP MAN THERES GOOD AND BAD IN EVERY CORNER OF BRITAIN, THINK YOU SHOULD DO SOME RESEARCH AND LOOK IN THE RIGHT PLACES SOME PROPER TERRIERS NORTH OF THE BORDER. aye pissy bayers youve got them havent you.i wouldnt give them the time of day .i didnt say there were no proper dogs up here ,just not many but thanks to a small group of us there is proper stuff up here.as for real deal terrier man if we all kept the shit you put up with there woulnt be any terriers for us to work :wankerzo4: SO ILE COME TO YOU FOR A HARD DOG WHEN I NEED ONE. THATS IF IME WORTHY OF ONE OF THESE TERRIERS FROM YOUR SMALL GROUP, YES I HAVE PISSY BAYERS, LOL Quote Link to post
rabbit slayer 22
I think pissy bayers are worth their wait in gold. id always keep a pissy bayer in the kennel along with hard types. As Long as the pissy bayers stayed untill dug to or stayed untill the quarry was bolted then i see no problem with that. Thats because a pissy bayer suits some of the counrty that i hunt. lurcher330 2,297
i would chose a bayer that stays every time over a hard dog .i would rather a dog that can be dug to every time you want it rather than a hard fcuker that needs weeks to heal after each dig but it is nice to see a hard dog work Edited May 29, 2011 by lurcher330 Quote Link to post

Waz 4,265
There are also (IMO) dogs that will turn a molehill into a mountain (metaphorically...lol). Whereas you could have put in a dog with a different style that would make it look a piece of cake. Quote Link to post
hedz31 1,308
I think all ye can do is breed best to best hope for the best and cull the rest ye can still get shite dogs from well bred grafting parents it would be great if every litter ye bred every pup made it but sad fact is they dont,i think its down to the person really i think to many folks make excuses for dogs and keep them ticking over instead of culling that just my theory though Quote Link to post

grafter-man 43
Good Workers Are Where You Find Them...... There are still some lads out there who are breeding for the right reasons, WORKING ABILITY. But, there are 10 idiots who breeding with the sole purpose of profit, for every 1 man that is breeding for working ability or looking to improve or compliment his terriers. Look for someone who put more pride into truly bettering his line or family's working ability than he puts into the euro or dollar and you will have a greater chance of seeing real workers. 1 Quote Link to post

VOON 1,317
Define Best To Best........... read an interesting post on a different website over the weekend about breeding from dogs that were not out and out fliers... Think of the following breedings Breeding 1 Bitch :Bayer, Stayer, Good Finder X Dog :Mute, Stayer, Poor Finder Would you breed to improve bitch line and improve finding ability of the dog? Breeding 2 Bitch: Bayer, Stayer, Good Finder X Dog : Mute, Stay most of the time, Poor finder Breed to improve Staying/finding ability of dog?? Breeding 3 Bitch : Bayer, 30 mins bitch, Good Finder X Dog : Bayer, Stayer Good Finder. Breed to improve staying ability of bitch?? Do you breed to improve the standard of the dogs you have? and try and better the flaws or just do nothing and get rid off? Voon Quote Link to post
