does your dog make it look easy?if yes you know you have a proper tool.but how many people put up with things moving,dog coming in and out,dogs coming off,not putting everything its got into getting you a result.do you think there is a lot of proper stuff out there?there isnt too much north of the border,its all mostly show shite,seems its all shampoo and brushing and not much else.mind i said mostly so take a deep breath.

Good question, be intresting to hear who has got these proper tools and makes everything look easy! I think any dog that dont give 100% everytime in the ground is unacceptable, Im not saying good dogs cant have of days but you can tell when a dog just dont want it, and when it starts picking and choosing when it wants to give its all then its time to go for that dog! Its a hard game and getting proper tools can be very hard, some folk just got to plod away with the up to scratch dogs who always give there all.

To many boys who got shit dogs breed them so they can keep 1 pup an sell the rest as workers then the ones who buy thes dogs do the same an so on NOT GOOD if your dogs not good enough GET RID!! start again this is the only way sort out the terrier world...

yes get rid of it.i could put up with a dog thats too big as long as he stays digging so as to make room to push on or dug to and made space for. but i think as soon as a dog comes away from the stuff his days are numbered. if he was a dog that wrked well for me previously he would be giving another chance but always watched with a beady eye.

A terrier that comes off its game and starts to go in and out working it for a while and then coming away is shite,so best thing to do is nip it on the bud straight off.Do the right thing and dont pass it on for someone else to maybe breed of it.I have seen dogs come out to try find an easier way to get to there fox,well thats not as big a sin as geting there and then coming away,at least they want to be with there quarry.With the amount of dogs thats been bred lately,and the amount thats been bought and sold its geting harder to find proper working stuff,too much shit been bred from dogs that are not up to the game.jmo.

perhaps i didnt put my first post accross as i intended. All i meant was that saying that there are not many true/genuine workers up here is a bit too much of a generalisation. I am well aware that there is quite a bit of shit up here, but not everyone settles for that. Some people keep good bloodlines but keep this information to themselves.
