Ive got a very well bred saluki cross pup which is now 5mnts old, over the last 5 wks she has been lame on her back left leg ive tried keeping her on a lead for 2 wks at a time only for the lameness to re appear after a couple of days off the lead for 10-20mins.She can put the leg down but you can see shes not putting full weight on it and if shes led down for a while she is stiff on it when she gets up.Im proper worried that this could affect her in later life and want to get it looked at A.S.A.P so does anyone have the numbers of good bone men/running dog vets in the north west area ??? if the best is elsewere in the country i would definately travel to get it sorted.

tom peppercorn comes down to the track at westhoughton about once a month,

if you ring him he would be able to tell you when he's next down.

Robert Meek - travels round a lot to different greyhound places,

think he comes down to manchester every 2nd sunday of the month.

Andrew Bartholomew - Iffley Vets, Oxford 01865 242600, Make sure that you see Andrew himself though - he is semi-retired and only works one and a half days per week, he's a specialist in musculo-skeletal injuries to running dogs and used to be the vet to the Oxford greyhound track before it closed. People bring running dogs some way to see him.
