gurtwurz 792
nice photography skills darryl, thats a talent you have there mate. so it's a go then chaps? best we work out some rules and we could get going for june 1st then... how about like this- we put up a photo of the month post every month, and theen with ians help, each month take a poll to vote the winner, come next year we put each months winner in another poll and vote photo of the year. you can only enter a photo you have taken whilst hunting, but that photo can be of anything you've seen on your trip thats made you think'that'd make a nice photo', be it landscape, your dog, wildlife, a portrait of two mates wandering round like elmer fudd, as long as you've taken the shot on a mooch. that months winner cannot post for the next 2 months in order to give everyone a chance to win, and it not be 'the best of' one persons pictures, ie they would only potentially win 4 out of 12 months. if anyones got any ideas to make this a cracker, then nows the time to post em fellas cheers, wurz Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
It's a brilliant idea to have a photo comp. Might get the section back together after the bloody idiotic goings-on here with scammers and dipsticks lately. I would suggest that hunting pics of kills and bags be disqualified. Otherwise, pics of us hunting/stalking with our rifles should be included, just not the outcomes. This should be an opportunity for some creative thinking about the landscape/environment we hunt over, the little wildlife moments that we see. There's many a moment I've been out and seen wild deer or a badger, or a sunset or dawn light on my permission and wished I had a camera. This comp might yield up those magic moments some of us would be lucky to capture. Andy, There'll be some beautiful photos we can shoot, around the permission. My daughter Pippa knows how to post pics through a laptop. We'll get her onboard! Simon. Edited May 28, 2011 by pianoman 1 Quote Link to post

Sounds like a plan, Simon I do have what I think are some really nice landscapes taken over the past few weeks that I'd like to post so if Pippa's cool with showing a useless technophobe how to do it, that'd be great I think you've hit on a great idea, Wurz, nicely done, mate Quote Link to post

fry 209
Yup, Im in, I think there should definitely be a 'no gory pics' rule, if dead quarry pictures are taken they should be done with the utmost respect for the quarry, so blood splattered brains and guts are out. What do you all think? yeah sounds about right Quote Link to post

Thats a point , all pictures must be as taken , no tweeking as its a bit unfair really . Bust Quote Link to post
