chimp 299
foxguntom put me on to these . a good all round insurance for £20 http://www.ccc3.org.uk/home Quote Link to post
markha 99
I do understand that we all have budgets, but never ever scrimp on insurance, the devil is in the detail and for me its BASC all the way, its not that expensive and just to make a point about detail, take Chimps recommendation for CCC3, yes its only £20 a year, and yes you get £10million civil and public liability insurance just like the CA and BASC. However the CCC3 policy does very clearly state that you get up to a maximum of £25,000 piblic liability defence legal bills!!!!!!! Yep that right Only £25K!!!! A Barrister in a negligence case will rack that up in a week! Kiss good by to your assets as the claimants legal team will go straight for the throat. On the other hand you could just join BASC and have an all round package plus complete and unlimited legal and defense costs covered by your insurance. People take too much for granted with all types of insurance. All insurers policies are there to be read and compared if you can be bothered, and then you'll be surprised and also learn as to why the cheap insurance policies are cheap. Its called due dilligence folks, and fingers crossed you never have to claim off your cheap policy. I dont work for BASC but do know a fair bit about the insurance business and all I can say is 'eyes peeled, wide awake and get a magnifying glass'. Mark Quote Link to post

martin 332
Plus 1 for SACS,they are way better than BASC,if you have ever tried to get BASC into court for you or even talk to a police force on your behalf then you will know what I mean.SACS on the other hand will jump at the chance to have a go at a police force! Leass than half the price of BASC as well and the same insurance. Martin Quote Link to post
DIVERD 34
I did a lot of research and SACS was the best deal for me. From my point of view it seems you pay them and then if you are out, as long as you are not competing, you are covered. I met a few of them at the game fair and they were honest real folks, interested in what i did. On the BASCS site, i felt to be honest they were looking over my shoulder to see if anyone important was passing.I was a BASC member for years, never called or claimed, so the deal with SACS was fine. we have a wee syndicate and get another healthy discount for this. For the price of a carryout meal for 2 it is exceptional value. Quote Link to post
