jf1970 328
the only time to go to a vet in ireland is if the dog breaks its leg .and half of them would make a balls of that I know a vet in Mayo, that is very good and is a greyhound vet too. His not that expensive either. I too vaccinate my own, as JF said, far cheaper then the vets over here. one of the very few that aren't out to rip you of
fieldsman 51
You can vaccinate your own dog I can buy them from my vet for about 12£ I,m sure he would have said if it was illegal.

Big bald beautiful 1,231
Used to but cant get jabs cheap so I pay 35 quid at the vets
scalesntails 118
Being that I only ever get the dogs vaccines as puppies it's not so bad paying £40 to the vet. I had a read up on dog vaccines before having 2 of mine done and from what I understood the vaccines won't work if they haven't been kept in the right conditions. For the sake of £40 for peace of mind I don't mind paying it. My vet is a mate so I got 2 for 1 and he gave the dogs the once over too.
Mrs A.R.D 53
i jab my own adult dogs i buy the vaccines from the vet, i always take pups to the vet for the first jabs and health checks. aslong as you have been trained to do it properly i think its ok to do em. paulus 26
If they did I would hope they didn't post it here mate as they could get into trouble..... Is it illegal to vaccinate your own dogs? Surely not? its not illegal to buy jabs from a regulated supplier or to jab your own dog but it is illegal to resell sell jabs, which gives you a problem as you can only buy legally in 10`s or 25`s
