what RPM for a homemade rotary

Recommended Posts

I find 10,000 RPM sufficient.

I find 10,000 RPM sufficient.

Im sure thats a bit slow you know :hmm: Im sure they have to go faster than that to get the wings to lift :)

more than 10,000 rotations per minute  christ that things gonna take off,

Id say try and hook up a speed controller on it, get it going between 60-120 rpm

a quick caculation, but at 10,000 rpm, it would be turning 166 times per second

it dont need to be fast, to make wings flap, stuff called air does that :D

i use an old motor from a spin dryer i salvaged from a launderette,it is heavy but i have mounted it on wheels,i just need a hand getting it in and out of the van,and the new Honda generator is so quiet with ear deffenders in i can barely hear it!
