what RPM for a homemade rotary

im going to use someting different then a wiper motor and was wondering what rpm a motor would need to running at.

I find 10,000 RPM sufficient.

Im sure thats a bit slow you know Im sure they have to go faster than that to get the wings to lift

more than 10,000 rotations per minute christ that things gonna take off,

Id say try and hook up a speed controller on it, get it going between 60-120 rpm

a quick caculation, but at 10,000 rpm, it would be turning 166 times per second

it dont need to be fast, to make wings flap, stuff called air does that

I think from memory mine runs at 15 - 20 RPM you know the thing your sat in the hide nothin doin and you mind wanders to counting how many seconds it takes the bird to make one revolution.

i think 60 is going to be my limit with these motors i have in mind

i use an old motor from a spin dryer i salvaged from a launderette,it is heavy but i have mounted it on wheels,i just need a hand getting it in and out of the van,and the new Honda generator is so quiet with ear deffenders in i can barely hear it!

motor out of an ATS is more than slow enough
