masmiffy 82
I would really love to send my Titan Manitou to John for an overhaul. He was involved in its birth and I recon he could get it spot on Titan?? does this mean he's capable of fettling falcons too? John was one of the founders of Titan and was involved right from the off in design and concept from memory. I have spoke to him and as has been said hes is a top bloke. Gotta save some pennies and see what I can get done! Quote Link to post

I'd love to hear the full story of what went on but i think it may be best left alone! Quote Link to post

fry 209
Glad to hear it mate. I wish Mr Bowkett had a website or something though! I have an R10 that I would like some work done too, but I'm in two minds as to whether to go to A&M or JB. Either way, I can't afford it right now. I also want to get my Ultra Tench reg'd. I love both my BSA rifles, but as has been said before many times it baffles me why anyone should spend top dollar on a new rifle and then a further couple of hundred to get it as good as it should be out of the box. this is true really in another thread some where it was said that a standard ultra only does 30 shots off a fill but when hunting who shoots 30 rabbits! well even though its me own fault for bing dense i was having a zero lying down with a rest for the rifle, and getting groups like a shot gun took 20 pellets before i realise its the long grass with seed heads puting pellets left right and centre. lucky for me i get 60 + shots from me rifle. it baffles me that they make lovely looking rifles (r10)and fantastic little pointable ultras and really send em out half finished. surely it would be better for all concerned to charge more for the original product that needed no blueprinting /or reggin. just my thoughts on it what do you lot reckon ?
