moley 115
Hello so many question's & hard to say on your roe.Your buck's should be there in april if there now unless they winter there for food or quite as there summer bit might be busy in winter or vice versa. The doe are the secret that's fit it's all about & a good population of mature doe's will bring good buck's or strong buck's.Roe like peace & quite but will live with it & work round our time's mine in winter are more nocturnal & come april/may with longer day's & less human's out later in the light i can stalk them morning & evening. They will use several area's to sleep but you quite often find whare they have been over a couple of night's but think they scrape new most of the time. Are the other buck's you shoot stronger than the 1's you see? strange you see different 1's as they are very territorial i seen some great fight's first week of april 2006 with them & a lot of young buck's getting pushed around.I try to to shoot shootable stuff ie young & older stuff but that's fit i try & do & iv made plenty mistake's but there not rare realy & i have good beast's for what little i have with plenty round me to come in & big lad's too as i hold good buck's. most of what we shoot on my ground are lesser bucks than the better ones we see, maybe they are travelling about without territories, never seen a fight proper ,but seen plenty of times where a good buck is trying to run off a smaller buck ,we havn,t got as many does as i would have liked , but will try again this weekend, there are so many deer around us at the moment nemo,s just got a nice bit of new ground for himself , so he doesn,t have to shoot all my buck,s ,now i can shoot his for a change Quote Link to post
