bullmastiff 615
After realising last year we'd been to more Foreign countries than we had British Counties, we decided to start touring Britain camping for long weekends in different places around the UK. I posted this last year and got some great idea's for places to go camping including camp sites near Hawes in Yorkshire and Glen Coe in Scotland, so thought I'd try it again this year and hope I get a few more good idea's on places to visit. The main requirements are: Child and Dog friendly, Nice walks/scenery, Not too expensive, and also a decent pub within a few miles preferably. I'm in South Somerset but we don't mind travelling about the country so if you know of anywhere that fits the bill then I'd love to hear about them. All the best, Luke. Malt 379
Try doing a search on Pembrokeshire. Plenty of stunning walks about the place here, both coastal & up the Preselli hills. Loads of nice beaches & campsites too. The Gower is nearly as nice, but i'm biased! If you come across anywhere you'd like more info about round here in SW Wales, send me a PM. mangy1983 51
land of the gods ,scotland ,west coast second that + The Western Isles plenty mainlanders coming here now and its cheap to come over on the ferry with RET. The machairs next to the beaches turn into small settlements with the amount of camper vans and caravanets but if its scenic walks your after imo there's no better place. cheers Callum
